This Privacy Policy explains how Calypso Management ("Calypso MGMT", "we", "us") collects, uses and protects personal information when you visit calypsomgmt.com or contact us. We keep it short and plain, and we only collect what we need.
1. Who we are
Calypso Management is a creator-management agency. The company responsible for your information is Calypso MGMT. You can reach us at contact@calypsomgmt.com.
2. Information we collect
- Information you send us. When you use our contact form or email us: your name, email address, phone number (optional), the message itself and anything you choose to include, such as your social media handles.
- Basic technical information. When you visit the site, our hosting provider automatically records standard server logs, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested. We use these only to keep the site secure and working.
- Information about creators we work with. If you become a client, we handle your information under a separate written agreement, which explains what we collect and why.
We do not use advertising or tracking cookies on this website, and we do not knowingly collect sensitive information through it.
3. How we use your information
- To reply to your message and talk with you about working together.
- To provide our management services, if you become a client.
- To keep the website secure and prevent misuse.
- To meet our legal and accounting obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for automated decision-making.
4. Legal basis (EU and USA)
European Union. For visitors in the EU and EEA, we process personal information under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). We rely on: your request to be contacted and the steps needed before entering a contract with you; our legitimate interest in running and securing our business and website; compliance with our legal obligations; and, where needed, your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
United States. For visitors in the United States, we handle personal information in line with applicable federal and state privacy laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA where it applies. We tell you what we collect when we collect it, we only use it for the purposes listed in section 3, and we do not sell your personal information or share it for targeted advertising.
5. Who we share it with
We only share information with trusted service providers that help us run our business, for example our website host (Vercel) and our email provider (Google Workspace). They may only use it to provide their services to us. We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights and the safety of others.
6. International transfers
Our service providers may process information outside your country, including in the United States. Where this happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
7. How long we keep it
We keep messages from people who contact us for up to 12 months after our last conversation, unless we start working together. Client information is kept for as long as our agreement requires and the law obliges us to.
8. How we protect it
We use reputable providers, encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access controls so that only people who need your information can see it. No system is completely secure, but we work hard to protect what you share with us.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- access the personal information we hold about you;
- ask us to correct or delete it;
- object to or restrict how we use it;
- receive a copy of it in a portable format;
- complain to your local data-protection authority.
If you live in a US state with its own privacy law, such as California, Virginia, Colorado or Connecticut, you also have the right to know what we collect, to ask us to correct or delete it, and to opt out of any sale or targeted advertising (we do neither). We will not treat you differently for using these rights. To use any of your rights, email contact@calypsomgmt.com. We reply within one month.
10. Age requirement
Our website and services are only for adults aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has sent us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
11. Links to other sites
Our site may link to social media or other websites. We are not responsible for how those sites handle your information, so please read their privacy policies.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
